Cash Incentives for LED Installs

Depending on the type of business you may be eligible for federal, state, or local tax deductions or rebates. American Electric Power

American Electric Power is currently offering a cash incentive of between $0.19 per Watt of reduced electric power demand from lighting upgrades. For example, a conversion of 100 - 75W fluorescent lights to 100 - 32W LED tubes would result in a demand reduction of 4300W and receive an incentive of $817.


First Energy

First Energy (Ohio Edison) is offering a cash incentive of $0.05 per annual kWh reduced. For example, a conversion of 100 - 75W fluorescent lights to 100 - 32W LED tubes that were on 50 hrs per week would result in an annual reduction of 11,180 kWh and receive a $559 incentive.


U.S. Department of Energy

There are currently no additional federal tax incentives for lighting projects. The Energy-Efficient Commercial Buildings Tax Deduction.
